Hello 👋🏻 My Name is Ahmed Rachid

I am a Data Solutions Engineer living just outside of one of my favorite places in the world, Paris, France. I am a self-taught programmer who firmly believes that you can accomplish anything in this life if you put your mind to it, roll up your sleeves and are willing to put in the work.

My Journey

My journey to becoming a data engineer did not start at a fancy university. Thanks to a great high school experience, studying with elite students in Algeria, and excelling in Mathematics, I became interested in computers. After high school, I chose to apply for computer science and moved to France to pursue my university studies in Applied Computer Sciences. I completed my bachelor's degree in 2019. Around this time, Big Data & Data Science were trending subjects. I decided to learn the basics to hone my skills, and soon after, I landed my first internship in AI at a Research Laboratory specializing in Computer Vision.

Having a passion for learning is the secret to success in life. I spent most of my nights far from home immersing myself in Python programming books to advance my skills. I chose to pursue my master's degree while working at the same time.

I landed a new position as a Data Scientist. Over the years, I continued to advance to different positions and companies, and here I am, still loving to learn more about data every single day.

One thing that has always stuck with me

One thing that has always stuck with me over the years is how grateful I am for all of the people who taught and inspired me. This helped inspire me to share my passion for learning with others.

Some other facts about me

When not spending time with family andfriends, I love reading books, listening to podcasts, and watching online courses. I have a real thirst for knowledge and it consumes me every day of the week.
